The fourth cohort of the UM6P Explorer program closed on Thursday, February 24, 2022 with a virtual showcase highlighting some of the entrepreneurial initiatives supported by the program.&nbsp;<br />
The event began with a roundtable discussion in which Explorer program participants shared their experiences in applying for and obtaining program grants. This discussion was followed by tours of the teams' virtual presentation rooms, where the audience was able to interact with the entrepreneurs about their initiatives.</p>

<p>Eight years after the adoption of the Malabo declaration, and just three years before the target date of 2025, we could certainly ask the question on where we stand on some of these targets and how much could African countries accelerate the pace towards achieving some of the declaration goals. The COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences on African economies and population livelihoods have made this challenge even more complex, adding to all the chronic problems of climate change, water scarcity, poverty etc.</p>

<p>Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is officially nominated and recognized as a CLIMATE HERO by the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework convention on climate change, at the United Nations Climate Change Conference of Youth 16 (COY16), the official precursor youth event of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). UM6P Youth Statement was the only policy paper representing youth vision in the Kingdom of Morocco during the COY16 at Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.
