<p>This week, the College of Computing hosted the "AI Builders Challenge 24" in collaboration with Bouygues at the University’s Campus in Benguerir.</p>

<p>The startup Alsym Energy, co-founded by Professor Kripa Varanasi, is hoping its batteries can link renewables with the industrial sector and beyond.</p>

<p>“Renewables are intermittent, so you need storage, and to really solve the decarbonization problem, we need to be able to make these batteries anywhere at low cost,” says Alsym co-founder and MIT Professor Kripa Varanasi.</p>

<p>From the 27^th&nbsp;of October to the 10^th&nbsp;of November, the 8^th&nbsp;International Training Workshop on Waste-to-Energy (WtE) took place in Hangzhou, China, with UM6P researchers, Dr. Saida Tayibi and Dr. Abdelkarim Fatihi, among the participants.</p>

<p>On the 20^th&nbsp;of November, UGF organized the 2^nd&nbsp;meeting of the SEHSM Scientific Committee (Economics, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management) at UM6P in Benguerir.</p>

<p>This week, as part of the MAHIR Network, the ACT School organized a 6-hour reading marathon in partnership with local media libraries in El Jadida, Youssoufia, and Khouribga.</p>

<p>From the 16^th&nbsp;to the 20^th&nbsp;of November, MSN hosted "TechCamp Morocco: Climate Entrepreneurship for Emerging Leaders" in collaboration with the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Morocco, within the university's campus in Benguerir.</p>

<p>On the 12^th&nbsp;of November, the Learning Center at UM6P campus in Benguerir hosted a masterclass with author and professor Oumelbanine Zhiri, moderated by Mr. Ali Benmakhlouf.</p>

<p>From the 14^th&nbsp;&nbsp;to the 16^th&nbsp;&nbsp;of November, Professor Hassan Radoine represented University Mohammed VI Polytechnic at a Business Forum organized by the World Smart City Forum (WSCF) in Nanjing, China.</p>

<p>This week, at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the UM6P-J-PAL Agricultural Lab for Africa (UJALA), led by Lab Director Hicham El Azami, showcased its approach to addressing Africa’s agricultural challenges.</p>

<p>On the 14^th&nbsp;of November, FIRSI organized a conference at UM6P France Office in Paris featuring Claudie Haigneré, an astronaut, scientist, and former minister.</p>

<p>Ms. Haigneré shared her journey spanning medicine, space exploration, and political engagement. She explored connections between science, innovation, and global challenges, emphasizing the role of younger generations in shaping a sustainable future. This event aligns with FIRSI's mission to inspire and empower future talents.</p>
