<p>It has almost been two years since COVID-19 entered Morocco’s borders, forcing an energetic and ambitious country to lock itself down for months. Our livelihoods, habits, projects, reflexes and attitudes were all affected somehow by the pandemic. Historians looking at this era of ours will probably have enough material for thousands and thousands of archives.</p>

Interested in effectively contributing to the implementation of Agenda 2030 through its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? the UM6P Sustainable Development Department is launching its 2021 call for projects dedicated to the UM6P community.

This call for projects, entitled “Mon projet DD 2021”, is part of UM6P's desire to set in motion a Sustainable Development approach and to mobilize its community (students, teachers, researchers and administrative staff) in order to integrate or strengthen Sustainable Development in our training, research and operations missions.

<p>December 18 and 19, 2021 saw the organization of the first edition of the hackathon "AgriChallenge", within the startup campus "Startgate" in Benguerir. This hackathon was hosted by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in partnership with the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV), with the aim of finding innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the Moroccan agricultural sector.</p>

<p>Every December 18th, the United Nations honors Arabic in commemoration of its adoption as the international body’s 6th official language in 1973. As a Moroccan university, UM6P joins its global counterparts in giving tribute to one of our motherland’s two national tongues. Arabic has for centuries been the subject and the medium for much of humanity’s trade, spirituality, art, literature, science, calligraphy and architecture. It has left an imprint on almost every aspect of human history.</p>
