<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:16.5pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">We are delighted to announce that the 99th <span style="font-size:13.0pt"><span style="background:white"><span style="font-family:"Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif"><span style="color:#65676b">Atlas</span></span></span></span> Collaboration Board meeting on July 2nd, 2021, has confirmed the admission of UM6P as a member institute of the Moroccan ATLAS Cluster.</span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:16.5pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The participation of UMP6 in ATLAS represents a significant opportunity for the Moroccan ATLAS groups as well as the entire ATLAS Collaboration. The large and modern computing facilities at UMP6 will support ATLAS research as a Moroccan Tier-3 center, with the ambition to grow into an ATLAS Tier-2 center. </span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="line-height:16.5pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">UMP6 will directly contribute to particle physics research via the analysis of ATLAS data. Engineers and technicians from UMP6 will contribute via MAScIR to the development and construction of the new ATLAS High-Granularity Timing Detector.</span></span></span></p>
